About us

The International Industrialised Building Knowledge Cluster is a group of organisations with expertise in off site manufacturing/industrialised building. The Knowledge Cluster is a place to connect leaders in this area who are active in knowledge creation and transfer. The genesis of this Cluster began with a Mission research project funded by the Australian Department of Industry Australia China Council and the core partners to that study were RMIT University, Harbin Institute of Technology and  Tsinghua University. The Cluster now includes experts from all over the world.

The project aims were:

1) conducting joint public guest lectures and workshops in universities of China,

2) visiting the relevant off-site housing systems manufacturing facilities in China, and

3) capturing, sharing, transferring, and documenting knowledge related to the off site housing systems acquired before, during and after the visit.
